4th Casio Solar we've owned; old ones are beat up but still work, even after days in a drawer, and never had to pay for a new battery! Newer ones don't seem to have near the battery life. If your sleeve covers it all day, and you haven't had much sun, it will stop. The trick is to give it some light, then wait. Don't try to re-set the analog right away, sometimes the dial takes a while to readjust--if you do it too soon, it later seems to move forward on its own. -- Good value
