User Reviews about Timex Men's T40941 Expedition Classic Digital Chrono Alarm Timer Watch

I owned my first for about 6 years, and just bought another. I just wore the watch on weekends or when I was playing/coaching sports. About a year ago I bought a new band as the first one started to self destruct. I bought a new battery about a month ago. However the gasket must not have sealed right, because as soon as I got in the pool last week it went blank. Why'd I get the same watch again? Because it worked great, and now I have spare batteries (they came in packets of two) and spare band ready to go - as you can tell I'm a bit frugal and practical.
I liked the big button indiglo which worked great (night fishing, camping, etc), it kept good time, and the count down timer can be set for more than an hour. Why Casio G-Shock watches only have countdown timers that go to an hour baffles me. I coach youth softball, and games typically are an hour 15 or an hour and a half. After the meeting with the umps I hit the start button and can easily keep an eye on how much game time is remaining, plus I can hear the alarm when it hits zero.
Why 4 stars, because it's not a 5 star watch. Just a practical, inexpensive watch that will hopefully last 5 or so years. -- Just bought my second one of these
I love this watch. It does exactly what it was advertised to do. Great help for when I'm working out. I haven't had a watch in two years but when I had a watch before it was ALWAYS a Timex Expedition. Sweet deals! Sturdy and strong and competent. -- Timex Watch
I've been using this same type of watch from Timex for over six years. It has all the features that I need, like multiple alarms, count down, stop watch and big number display for my aging eyes. This is the fifth Timex watch of this type that I own. They all still work and are pretty banged up, except for one that I lost in the ocean after a bad wipeout surfing. That one is probably still ticking sitting on the reef. -- Keeps on ticking
This is my third Expedition in about 12 years because I am very rough on the plastic case. This one earned only 4 stars from me because of the cheesy, sticky plastic band rather than leather like my previous one. I like the large numbers and the indiglo button on top of the watch because it is easy to find and push although inadvertantly pushing it can make it require batteries a little sooner than other watches. What I especially like is the fact that the "crystal" is set down below the edge of the watch making it much harder to scratch it up when crashing it against abrasive materials. It's an excellent rough work watch yet its appearance is nice for this style of watch. Although the compass works fine, I'd rather use my GPS :), and I think the watch looks better without it so I remove it. -- Repeat Customer
